What We Do
SDA project development
We coordinate the development of new SDA housing, acting as a project manager and broker, bringing together leaders in financing, planning, building, technology and specialist disability access. We create innovative housing projects that meet the needs and preferences of people with disability, with a focus on NDIS participants who will be eligible for SDA housing.
We initiate housing projects, aligning their design to SDA compliance standards, supporting and educating the building and construction sector in creating options that include the latest in home automation and communications technology.
Tenant finding
We network widely to identify NDIS participants who would like to live in our SDA housing. We provide information on our projects, and support skills development for participants, their families/supporters and the disability sector workforce (e.g. Support Coordinators, Allied Health workers), in understanding and navigating SDA eligibility.
Along with our housing designs we also create partnerships with leading support providers, to match the preferences of those seeking new housing opportunities. We aim to maximise choice and control for our tenants, while also ensuring flexibility and sustainability in support provision.
Housing Consultancy
GLA has access to a wide range of people and resources to assist the building and construction industry, government and other organisations, that aim to respond to the housing and support needs of people with disability and complex needs.
We offer information, mentoring and project management, drawing on our experience in building design, partnership, model development and networking, with key thinkers in housing and disability support provision.
Innovation
GLA is keen to encourage and support innovative opportunities that mean people with disability can live well, and participate in social and economic opportunities through having their housing and support needs properly met.
