From 1 July 2026, Apollo SDA and Guardian Living are officially one organisation, and we couldn’t be more excited about what that means for participants, families, builders, capital partners and every person we have the privilege of working with.

Why this merger, and why now? 

Both Apollo SDA and Guardian Living have spent years doing similar things: creating high-quality, purpose-designed homes and delivering exceptional support that puts people with a disability first. Apollo has built a strong and growing presence developing SDA homes across Queensland and New South Wales. Guardian Living has established deep roots in Victoria, with trusted relationships and a track record of meaningful outcomes for participants and their families. 

What we’ve always had in common is more significant than our differences — a strong set of aligned values and a shared sense of purpose, to create and manage exceptional SDA homes that connect, support and empower residents. Because we understand that finding the right home transcends bricks and mortar, it brings people closer to the life they want.

You’ll still have the same people, the same warm faces and trusted relationships that have been part of your journey. What changes is what’s available to you: a wider network of homes, a deeper pool of expertise, and a team with even greater capacity to respond to your needs quickly and thoughtfully. 

There will be no disruption to your existing supports, your routines or your agreements. It’s business as usual for the people who matter most to us — and a whole lot more possible for the future.

What does this mean for our partners? 

For builders, developers and capital partners, this merger creates a stronger, more scalable SDA platform — one with 275 rooms that we’ve developed and/or managed today and a 12-month development pipeline of a further 148 rooms. That means greater tenancy certainty, a stronger referral network, and a single partner fully accountable for every project from inception to long-term management. 

All existing agreements and commitments remain in full effect. Your relationship stays with the team you already know and trust.

While we will operate under the Guardian Living brand, this merger is built equally on the strengths of both organisations. 

Guardian Living provides a recognised and established platform for our future growth, while Apollo SDA’s homes, expertise, relationships and legacy remain an integral part of who we are. This is not one organisation replacing another—it’s two experienced SDA providers coming together under a single brand to create greater impact for the people we support.
